Hans Erni Museum
The Hans Erni Museum - distinct due to its transparent hexagonal form (architect: Jean-Marie Ellenberger) - not only makes the oeuvre of this doyen of Swiss art permanently accessible to the general public, it also creates a forum for encounter.
The auditorium has become a popular conference venue, watched over by great thinkers ancient and modern - from Thales to Albert Einstein - depicted in Erni's impressive two-part mural.
"Panta Rhei" or "everything flows" is a quotation from the ancient Greek philosopher Heraclitus that Hans Erni has made his motto. He discovers the principle of hope in the constant state of change and in art itself.
