The beauty of the Alps in the middle of Lucerne!
The Alpineum/3-D Alpine Diorama near the Lion Monument shows three-dimensional representations of the beginning stages of alpine tourism. The large dioramas by artists Ernst Hodel, Sr. and Ernst Hodel, Jr. - created before the advent of the cinema - give an illusion of reality.
