In September 2001, UNESCO registered the region of Entlebuch in the worldwide list of biosphere reserves.
There is hardly any other region in Switzerland which possesses so many natural treasures as Entlebuch. In particular, there is the large forest on the Napf, the Schrattenfluh and the magnificent moor landscapes.
