The Swiss Path

The historical path around Lake Uri was opened in 1991 as the mutual contribution by the 26 cantons to the 7th centenary of the Swiss Confederation.

Each canton is designated one section, with the length of every section corresponding to the number of inhabitants and 5 millimetres representing one person. Numerous historical sites border the path.
